Shoot the Breeze Disc Golf Club Ice Bowl 2006
Because of
the generous support by all of you, the 2006 Ice Bowl was a resounding
success. Thirty-six disc golfers participated.
January 29, 2006, and we raised $925 for Meals on Wheels.
It says a lot for our community that we have individuals like you that
will step up and offer help when asked. Yes, I know it wasn't really an Ice Bowl (43° and rain at tee time),
but it definitely wasn't ideal disc golfing weather. I am sure it was more
of an Ice Bowl than, say, Florida or California. The 36 disc golfers from
Ashtabula, Lake, Cuyahoga, and Trumbull counties did not complain (against
the rules, of course), as we played 18 holes of disc golf. Every golfer
completed the course, and enjoyed some hot chili at the turn.
We got a nice write up in the Ashtabula Star Beacon
recognizing our efforts.
