Just wanted to thank you guys for running the best tournament that I have been to in 2004. YOu guys really had it all together this year. The players packs were nice. Lunch was great, pizza and the band was a nice touch. I just wanted to let you guys know how much your work was appreciated. And ths course looked absolutely beautiful. Like being at a country club. The grass was soooo nice. And the new concrete tees are just about the greatest thing ever. ASHTABULA BABY!!!!! Chris Deitzel

Hi there, My name is John Mikulec, I'm from Niagara Falls, NY. My Fiancee ( Eileen ) and I played at your course Monday the 28th about noon till 1:30, a slight mist of rain at the last six holes. Not enough to stop play though !!! The course is terrific, the layout of the course with the placement of the baskets were great. To finish shooting a shot up or down at the pin is quiet challenging. The Park it self is also very nice, The view of the lake reminds me of a course back here in western New York at Evangola State park off the I-90. The one thing I did find a little difficult was the tee spot markings on a few of the holes. I know that there posted next to the cement pads but I still had trouble finding a couple of the Blue or white tee. It is still a great course as far as my opinon is concerned. When I play there again (it's a 2 hr. drive) maybe someone who has played there before might join us to play along with. My score for the day was a 60, I don't think that was to bad for the first time out there. A couple of two's and a couple of five's also. Well I just wanted to drop a line to tell you folks that we had a great time at your wonderful course. Oh yeah back here at home you have to pay to get into just about every park too. Thanks for a gr8 time, John & Eileen

Hey gang :) Just wanted to thank everyone again for running one of
the best and smoothest tournaments that I have ever played in, especially
Mike & Tom. The new pins were sweet, especially for the final 9. The food
and weather was like a dream, perfect. I can't wait until next year. Tom,
maybe you should take up designing courses full time because the layout is
as world class as it gets:) Looking forward to seeing the next set of tee
pads and hucking some plastic with everyone.

Hey everybody, Thanks to all the staff and players for making this Discraft Shoot the Breeze Open even better than last year. (And last year was great!) Sorry to all those who weren't able to get in when we filled up. There were several of you, and we will plan for more next year, but make sure you get in by registering early. Those of you that played, and didn't turn in your evaluation forms, it would be nice if you could do that now, and get them to me, or to the PDGA. Your comments are what helps us know what works and what doesn't, to make the tournament the best we can. Next year's planning starts now, and we look forward to seeing you all back. See you on the course, Michael Mote DSTBO Tournament Director

Hey Everyone, My name is Dan Riefstahl and I am from Erie, PA. I come up to Lake Shore Park about twice a month to play disc golf. I am a avid disc golfer, but we are lacking courses in my area, so I play Duck Run every week and your course every few. I just wanted to say I love the course and I am very happy to have found it. You did a wonderful job designing it and the newly cemented tee pads are great. The website has tons of inforamtion, but needs overhauled in my opinion. I am a webdesigner by trade and would love to do this overhaul or you (no offense Gina) The course is o great and I would really like to see a more professional site to go along with it. View my portfolio and ability  and drop me an e-mail if interested. Of course I would give you an outstanding price since I love disc golf. I did a quick overhaul of Duck runs website and would love to do yours. Again thanks for the sweet course...now if we could only get Erie to follow suit. Dan Riefstahl www. 814-218-9192

Awesome site! We are going to throw Ashtabula today and looked it up on pdga.com. Saw your link. The best site we've seen for details, information and an accurate map. Thank you for a job well done. Looking forward to throwing today! -- Krazy & Vickie

Very good web site, well organized, a lot of good information. I have played your course twice now, and prefer it over the other courses in the area. Played a few holes today with Larry and learned a new way of throwing the back hand. After a month of playing this sport, which is new for me, I am hooked! If I can find the time, I would like to be more involved in your club's events. Mark Rupp Mentor, Ohio wattfly@comcast.net

Mike, I got your name from Cliff Towne.  I'm looking for a Frisbee golf course in Puerto Rico.  My only clue was on the web, concerning your brother.  Can you help me out?  Thanks, Susan Burman - Phoenix, AZ

My brother did design and install an 18 hole course in Puerto Rico, on a private banana plantation.  He was working for a man named Billy Elkin, and they called the course the "Bad Banana Ranch".  I don't even know the name of the town that it is near, but according to the article by Ed Headrick, it was about 50 south of San Juan.  (It doesn't look like the Island is 50 miles wide, so I don't know what that means.)  They did a piece on local TV there, so maybe someone will know if ask around in San Juan.  I think Billy runs a bed an breakfast type place there.  Here is a link to Ed's article, if you want to read what he had to say.

WOW, I haven't seen a web-site like this one yet.
How powerful, the information you bring to us. It's
just amazing, the links , disc and etc. for sale,
discussion pages, future events, past archives, and
more..., this is an inspiration to Mark and I, who
would like to accomplish just what we see on the Shoot
the Breeze Web-Site. Your two (2) courses, your team
of people have worked so very hard to achieve this
dream come true. There are so many of you to thank,
from us the public that we can play these courses and
compete with one another. THANK YOU all Shoot the
Breeze members, that put your time and money toward
this formidable site and course.

Mark and I, have just completed our first
P.D.G.A. tournament, The CAN-AM SLAM with Mike. It was
tough conditions on Saturday, 20-30 mph cross winds,
horizontal snow and rain, totally wet and Mark and I
just loved it, WOW! We can't wait for the STBO May
31st. Thanks again for being an inspiration to us as
we are headed in the right direction to preparations
for a permanent course in Lorain County.
Sincerelly,

As one who is involved on the national level in the daily pursuit of artistic excellence in both visual and written formats I want to take a moment to drop you an ""e"" to comment on the STB website.
It is obvious to me that all of you take great pride in your club, tournaments and other activities. Your website has been crafted with great care and shows enormous dedication and commitment in establishing this superior site to share with your fellow Disc Golfers and other curious websurfers. Your web designer's talent brilliantly shows through by combining photos and text that expertly conveys your club's qualities, agendas, personalities and other fun stuff. All of the information is presented with creative distinction. Makes me want to visit NEO, stop by Lake Shore Park and feed the ducks-if you haven't scared 'em all off. One more thing, that's a really cute dog. Where did you find her? How did you teach to play? What's her handicap? Got anymore pics?

I think Lake Shore Park is the greatest disc golf course in the world!!!!

Gina, Mike, Tom et al,

You guys do a great job!  The web site is so useful and informative.  I
referred to the STBO results posted there today as I was updating the
Can Am Series overall statistics.  Thanks for keeping it real.  Hope to
see some of you in Rochester this weekend or at other stops on the
tour.  For sure in St. Thomas for the Finals, as we will have our season
ending meeting to plan for 2003.

Nice course. Played it about a year and a half ago (July 2000).  Loved it!  It was a little hard to find some of the tee markers at that time, even with the map, but I managed o.k.  I was in the area for the holidays to see my folks in Cambridge Springs,Pa. and thought I could get in a cold snow round while I was here...then I looked on your site only to find that the baskets are away for the winter...oh well.  I'll be back in the summer and try to catch up with your weekly if you have them.  Anyway, until then, I play the Nor-cal events in Ca. I look forward to playing your course again, I really dig it ...I don't get much chance to play the mowed grass, park style courses often! Adios!  Oh yeah, if your club sends a newsletter or anything, please send one my way...thanks   Greg Stevenson

I think your club is really neat. I had never heard of disk golf until I was in New Braunfels, Texas and came upon the course. My boyfriend and I are really interested in disk golf now and can't wait to try it.

Hi Gina:

Just a quick note to tell you that my family and I found our way to the disc golf course at Lakeshore Park in Ashtabula on Monday, September 3.  We initially thought we had to abandon our plans when we found that the concession stand was closed.  However, we read the note which directed us to Squire's bakery to buy discs.  We found the bakery, but found that it was closed as well. Oh NO! We peered into the window and saw the baker there working.  My husband, being who he is, walked around back to the open door, went in and introduced himself and our intentions.  The gentleman said yes, he would sell us some discs.  We chatted, bought two #3 slice discs and went on our way.

We were glad that we persisted.  It proved to be a fun game.  We did the course in about 2 hours.  My boys formed a team against Dad and Mom.  On the way, we met a serious player who showed us his bag of putters, drivers, etc.  Then the rest of my family understood what I had tried to explain before.  It turned out to be a gorgeous day to be at the lake in the park.  The disc golf was a great way to spend a day outside.  Thanks for introducing it to us.  We'll go again!

Margaret

I hope to make it out and play it someday. I live in
